Billed through a Merchant of Record
When billing opens, payments will run through Dodo Payments as the primary Merchant of Record, with Paddle as a fallback provider. The Merchant of Record is the seller of record: it handles checkout, taxes, and invoicing on Inflozo’s behalf.
Inflozo never collects or stores raw card data in-product — card details are handled by the provider. This is the billing model we are preparing for; checkout is not live yet.
- Dodo Payments is the primary Merchant of Record; Paddle is the fallback.
- The provider handles checkout, payment data, sales tax/VAT, and invoices.
- Inflozo stores no raw card details — only a reference to the provider record.
- Billing records are retained by the provider as Merchant of Record.
How plans behave
- All paid plans include a 7-day free trial that starts when you enter a payment method, with full features from day one.
- Trial reminder emails are sent on day 4 (3 days left) and day 6 (1 day left); at trial end with no valid payment method, the workspace reverts to Free.
- If a payment fails you keep full access during a 7-day grace period; after that the workspace becomes read-only, and your project data is never deleted.
- Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period and are gated: you bring projects and Ghost-site connections within the lower plan’s limits before the change applies.
- Extra projects add-on: ~$5/project/month (TBD by founder before launch); paid plans only. We are not quoting extra-storage pricing yet.
